- Many people become sensitive to hot or cold beverages after getting a dental crown. This is quite a common dental crown problem and can be easily resolved by using a toothpaste for sensitive teeth. However, you should consult your dentist before resorting to self-treatment.
- Even though dental crowns are fixed after several trials, you find a problem with the bite. This is because of the shape of the crown. This problem can be easily dealt with by the dentist, who will file down the crown a little bit to ensure that the bite is rectified.
- Sometimes, after the dental crown is fixed, the nerve of the tooth is exposed. If this happens, then you will have to go in for a root canal to save the tooth.
- If the crack or fracture on the tooth is too big, it will not be able to hold the crown. This will cause the crown to keep falling off. The only solution for this problem is a root canal treatment.
